Grindleford Fell Race
The Grindleford Fell Race is scheduled for 18 June 2026 and is based at Grindleford Pavilion. The event follows a 4.5 miles route that starts on the playing fields, climbs through Hay Wood and the Longshore Estate, and returns via Padley Gorge.
The route includes a river crossing within sight of the finish, providing a clear spectator viewpoint near the finishing area. The course is well marshalled and is partially taped along key sections.
The event is described as accessible to newcomers to fell racing; it does not require local knowledge or navigational skills. The minimum age for participation is 16 or older.
