Event overview
The GRIM Challenge is scheduled for Sunday 11 January 2026 at the Army Tank Training Area, Fleet Road, Aldershot (GU11 2HL). The route runs over Ministry of Defence vehicle testing ground and features natural obstacles formed by tank tracks and wet weather. Runners should expect muddy terrain, areas of waist-high water, occasional cargo nets to crawl under and on-site conditions typical of winter trail running. Parking is provided in two car parks accessed from Fleet Road; both are a five to ten minute walk from the start village.

Minimum ages are specified: 13 years for the 4-mile race and 16 years for the 8-mile race. Race prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers in the 4-mile event, and to the first three male and female finishers plus first male/female Masters categories (40, 50, 60+) in the 8-mile event.
Entries, fees and facilities
Early bird entry prices (until 30 September 2025) are listed as £28 for 4 Miles and £34 for 8 Miles. Standard entry prices (from 1 October 2025) are £31 for 4 Miles and £37 for 8 Miles. Charity places are available at £10 (4 Miles) and £15 (8 Miles) with fundraising commitments of £75 and £100 respectively for the event charity partner, Combat Stress.
All finishers receive a medal and a GRIM beanie. On-course and finish provisions include HIGH5 energy products, free digital race photos, full medical cover, secure baggage storage and on-site portable toilets. T-shirts are offered at £13 (or £15 while stocks last on race day) in unisex sizing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
