The Gril-Mato event takes place on February 21, 2026, in Orchard Park, New York, at Runners Roost (4190 N Buffalo St, Orchard Park, NY 14127). It includes the following distances:

Logistics and race details
Registration fees listed are $38.10 for the 5k and $16.90 for the kids run; the 5k price increases after January 19, 2026. The kids run registration closes on February 20, 2026. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at The Byrd House (4191 North Buffalo Road) and on race day at Runners Roost. Post-race food is provided by The Byrd House; participants who select the food option in advance receive a voucher redeemable only during the post-race party. A Gril-Mato themed long-sleeve cotton tee will be given to the first 200 registrants for the 2026 5k if registered by February 7.
Course, awards and charity
The 5k and the kids 1/2 mile courses are USATF certified (5k: NY22027JJ; kids: NY24017JJ) and wind through Orchard Park neighborhoods around Runners Roost. Awards for the 5k include overall male and female winners, top male and female masters, and top 3 males and females in 5-year age groups through 80+. The kids run awards medals to the top 3 boys and top 3 girls and participation ribbons to remaining children. A portion of proceeds will be donated to FeedMore of WNY.
