Mount Greylock Road Race
The Mt. Greylock Road Race is an 8 mile paved road course that starts at Mt Williams Reservoir at Notch Road/Pattison Road in North Adams, Massachusetts and finishes at the summit of Mt. Greylock in Adams, Massachusetts.
Bib pickup is located at the race start. Porta-potties will be available at the start and the summit finish. Water stops are placed at miles 2 and 6, with additional water and snacks at the finish. Technical race shirts are available for purchase on race day while supplies last.
Prizes are awarded to the overall top three male and female finishers and to top finishers in age categories: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. An awards ceremony takes place after the finish.
There is limited parking at the summit and there is no shuttle service back to the start. Participants frequently walk or run back down or arrange rides. Organizers note that parking near the summit is scarce and early arrival is common.
No dogs or pets are allowed on the course. The use of headphones is discouraged for safety reasons. Wheelchairs and other disabled push strollers are welcomed and organizers can provide accommodations if informed in advance.
The event has a strict no refund policy; if the event is canceled or postponed, the organizers may convert it to a virtual event and provide race materials by mail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
