Greenway Trick 'R Trot : October 24, 2026
The Greenway Trick 'R Trot is an evening trail event held at the Shangri-La Trailhead and Campground, 12788 SW 69th Ct, Ocala, FL. The event was moved to this trailhead for 2026 due to construction at the Pruitt Trailhead. It is presented by Combat Racing and is held partially on the Florida Trail.
Available race options include:
- 5K Run and 5K Ruck - 3.1 miles, $35
- 10K Run and 10K Ruck - 6.2 miles, $45
- 5K plus 10K Challenge - 9.3 miles, $65
Ruck divisions follow verified dry weight standards with weigh in at check-in. Minimum dry weights are: women 20 lbs, men under 150 lbs 20 lbs, men 150 lbs and over 30 lbs. Dry weight excludes water, food, and worn gear. Packs must be backpacks or rucks worn on the back; no vests or hand carrying. Ruck weight must remain with the participant for the entire course and outside assistance or weight sharing is not permitted.
The event notes a Halloween atmosphere and encourages costumes. Headlamps are required for the 10K and the combined challenge. All finishers receive finisher medals and top awards are given for each event. A minimum suggested donation per participant for the Florida Trail is $25.
