Green River Sports Festival 10K
The Green River Sports Festival takes place on August 8, 2026, in Green River, Wyoming. This multi-sport gathering brings together regional competitors to participate in running events and strength competitions. The event is held at Expedition Island and utilizes the historic Greenbelt Pathway system.
Participants can choose from the following distances:

- 10 km
The 10 km course begins on the north side of the bridge at Expedition Island. Runners traverse the island parking lot and enter Riverside Memorial Park, passing the boardwalk and the Green River horse corrals. The route follows the Union Pacific loop toward Stratton Meyers Park. From there, participants cross a gravel road to access the Greenbelt near the bike park and continue up the hill to Edgewater Park. After completing a loop in Edgewater Park, runners retrace their path along the Green River to finish at the Greenbelt River bridge.
The festival grounds host additional activities, including a Strongman competition, a grip strength contest, and a max bench contest. Food and coffee vendors are available on-site at Expedition Island. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age division, and overall winners receive gifts.
