Green Lake Road Race
The Green Lake Road Race in Spicer, MN, is offered as an individual 12 mile run and as relay options. Packet pick up is in the Zorbaz parking lot; look for the tent. The start area is between Mel's Sport Shop and the fishing access. Runners should arrive about ten minutes before the start for a pre-race meeting.
Distances:
- 12 miles Individual
- 6 miles 2-person relay
- 3 miles 4-person relay
Bibs must be attached on the front of the shirt just above the waist for best read-rate and must be visible at the finish. Water stops are located at the 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 mile marks; Gatorade is available on request. Trash cans are spaced along the course and runners are asked not to drop cups on the course. Two utility vehicles will patrol the route and carry extra water.
Relay logistics: bus service will transport relay participants from the Spicer Legion parking lot, making laps around the lake to drop off and pick up runners. Exchange points are available at the 6 mile mark for the 2-person relay, and at roughly 3.25, 6, and 9 mile marks for the 4-person relay. Restrooms and water are available at each exchange.
Race entry includes a race shirt (guaranteed for registrations by June 21) and post-race refreshments. Times and award results will be posted at Pickle Events. Awards and medals are presented behind Zorbaz on the deck; medals are given to top male and top female and to places 1-3 in each division.
