Green Flag Trail Run at Van Stadens Flower Festival
The Green Flag Trail Run is held within the Van Stadens Wildflower Reserve as part of the Van Stadens Flower Festival. The event is linked with the FoVS Indigenous Plant Sale and involves local partners including Nelson Mandela Bay. The trail run is presented as a separate activity within the festival and is powered by MetroWind.
The event offers the following race distances:
- 5 km: R175; primary school children under 13 pay R50.
- 15 km: R275.
Entries open on 1 January 2026. Pre-entries close at 13:00 on Thursday 17 September 2026; late entries are accepted on race day with an additional R50 administrative fee added to the entry. No refunds are allowed. Substitutions are permitted via an Entry Ninja profile, and late substitutions on race day incur a R100 fee.
Age categories specified for the event include an A-Batch under 13 (primary school) eligible for the 5 km only, and a C-Batch for participants aged 50 and older eligible for both 5 km and 15 km.
