The Bryan Grundy Green Drive Five and Junior Mile
The Bryan Grundy Green Drive Five is the 26th running of a five mile road race organised by Lytham St Annes Road Runners. It takes place on 18 October 2026 and incorporates the Lancashire AA 5 Mile Championships. The five mile course is accurately measured, largely on open public roads, and runs from Green Drive along Preston Road into the rural lanes around Warton. The route is described as flat and the event is UKA licensed with a course accuracy certificate.
A junior event for younger athletes is held in advance of the senior race. The Green Drive Junior Mile is an off road out and back of one mile for athletes aged 4 to 15. All junior finishers receive a medal and the junior course is wholly off road.

Race entry is available online and on the day subject to limits. Entry fees listed for 2026 include prices for the five mile and junior mile events and numbers are collected from Race HQ. Race HQ is at Sticky Chocolate Bakehouse, Park View Road, Lytham FY8 4JE, a short walk from the top of Green Drive. Toilets and refreshments are provided but there are no changing or kit storage facilities. Parking is available at Park View playing fields and on nearby streets.
Headphones are not permitted for the five mile race when running on open public roads and competitors wearing non medically prescribed headphones will be disqualified. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
