Great Welsh Marathon Events : Pembrey Country Park

The Great Welsh Marathon Events is a running event that includes a full marathon, a half marathon and a 10K, staged from Pembrey Country Park (SA16 0EJ). The organiser intends to relocate the event to a new home in 2027 and a new route will be announced.

The events hold UKA licensing and AIMS certification and are listed as a World Marathon Majors qualifying race. Entries include affiliated and non‑affiliated options with published entry fees for marathon and half marathon. Race packs are posted out approximately two weeks before race day and contain a race number with an integrated timing chip plus safety pins.

Practical information and race rules issued by the organiser:

The course includes hydration and energy stations supplied by Brecon Carreg with water available at specified points on each distance and at the finish.
Cut off times are set at 4 hours for the half marathon and 6 hours for the full marathon.
Toilets are provided on course and in the race village, including women only facilities and urinals.
St John Cymru Wales provide medical cover across the route.
Entries are transferable under set conditions and deadlines, deferral is available with proof and a fee, and refunds are not offered except via purchased ticket protection.
