Great River Bridge Race - Burlington, IA
The Great River Bridge Race takes place on September 19, 2026, beginning and finishing at the Port of Burlington, 400 N. Front Street, Burlington, Iowa. The event offers multiple route options that cross the Great River Bridge and pass riverfront and downtown areas.
Distances available:
- 10k (6.2K), timed and scored, $30 entry fee.
- 5k (3.1K), timed and scored, $30 entry fee.
- Bridge Walk (1.5 miles), not timed, $25 entry fee.
The 10k and 5k are timed and scored by Nonstop Race Management and results are posted online. Top three men and women in the 10k and 5k receive placement medals. A soft style ring spun cotton event t-shirt is included for registrations placed by September 10. Event proceeds benefit the Burlington Parks and Recreation Department and will support North Hill Park and its playground.
Packet pickup is available the day before at Burlington City Hall and on event day at the Port of Burlington. Nearby businesses on the riverfront will offer food and drink for purchase during the event. Course maps are provided for each route, with both bridge and downtown segments.
