Great Raisin River Footrace : 47th edition
The Great Raisin River Footrace takes place Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Williamstown Fairgrounds. Participants can choose a scenic loop along the Raisin River of 5K or 11K.
Event proceeds benefit Beyond 21, a nonprofit that provides subsidized programming for adults with developmental disabilities. A kids race will be held in 2026. Walkers are welcome in the 5K and strollers are permitted with parental responsibility. Spectators may watch along the route or at the finish; staying for the awards ceremony requires purchase of a fairgrounds bracelet.
Online pre-registration and personalized bibs are available until July 25. Late registration opens July 26 and remains available until race morning; on-site spots are limited and late fees apply, increasing by $20. The race runs rain or shine unless weather is unsafe. Registrations are non-refundable; if the event is canceled a full refund will be issued, but no refunds are given if the event is postponed.
Awards include named trophies for the fastest 5K and 11K (male and female), youth trophies for fastest 5K under 19, and age-category awards for top male and female in ten-year age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
