47th Annual Great Raisin River Footrace
The event takes place Sunday, August 9, 2026 at the Williamstown Fairgrounds. Participants can choose between two loop courses along the Raisin River. All event profits support adults with developmental disabilities through Beyond 21.
Distances
- 5K loop along the Raisin River.
- 11K loop along the Raisin River.
Day-of registration and bib pickup are available but on-site registration is limited to 20 participants. Online pre-registration reduces the fee by 20 dollars. Walkers are permitted in the 5K. Strollers are allowed with parental responsibility and children in strollers must pay fair admission to remain on the grounds.
The race proceeds rain or shine unless weather conditions are unsafe. Spectators may watch along the route and at the finish; anyone staying for the awards ceremony must hold a Fairgrounds bracelet as spectators do not receive free fair access.
Registrations are non refundable except in the event of cancellation when a full refund will be issued; no refunds are provided if the event is postponed. By registering, participants agree to these terms.
Awards include trophies for fastest male and female in each distance, fastest 5K male and female 19 and under, and top male and female in 10 year age categories, with awards posted following the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
