Great Raisin River Footrace (47th annual)
The Great Raisin River Footrace is scheduled for Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Williamstown Fairgrounds. The event offers two looped road race distances along the Raisin River and directs event profits to Beyond 21, a Cornwall, Ontario nonprofit serving adults with developmental disabilities.
Distances offered:
- 5K loop along the Raisin River
- 11K loop along the Raisin River
On-site bib pickup and late registration are available the morning of the event. Post-race refreshments, snacks, awards and a fundraising announcement are provided. A kids race is included in 2026. Walkers are welcome in the 5K. Strollers are allowed but remain the responsibility of parents; full fairgrounds admission applies for children in strollers.
Award categories include named trophies for fastest 5K and 11K overall and trophies for fastest male and female 19 and under, along with age-category awards for top male and female in 10-year age groups that will be published after the race. Registrations are non-refundable except in the case of event cancellation, and no refunds are issued for a postponed date. Online pre-registration is encouraged to save 20 dollars; on-site registration is limited to 20 participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
