Coventry Building Society Great North Swimrun 2026
The Coventry Building Society Great North SwimRun takes place at Lake Windermere in the Lake District National Park. The event runs off-road and in open water and combines multiple running and swimming sections in an island-hopping style. Entrants must carry all their kit from start to finish, including trainers and a wetsuit for both runs and swims.
Two distances are offered:
- 12.6 km SwimRun Short
- 23.9 km SwimRun
The event includes aid stations, a bag drop, medical assistance, a finisher's medal and a swimcap. Feed stations are placed four times on the full SwimRun route and once on the SwimRun Short. Swimcaps must be worn during all parts of the event and wetsuits and a pullbuoy are listed as mandatory items. Additional kit listed includes tow rope, hand paddles, goggles, shoes and compression socks. Minimum ages are 16 for SwimRun Short and 17 for SwimRun. SwimRun entrants have four hours to reach Brathay Hall; participants arriving after this will be assessed by medics. The listed entry price range is £85 to £120.
