Event overview
The Great North SwimRun is scheduled for 13 June 2026 in the Lake District National Park, on and around Windermere. The course starts on the shores of Windermere and finishes at the same location used by the Great North Swim. The event includes multiple open-water swims and trail running stages. Participants must carry all their own kit from start to finish and will wear trainers and a wetsuit for both land and water sections. Course routes and GPX files are provided, and the published course may be subject to change. Timetables are provisional.

Entry pricing noted for 2026 includes saver and final prices: the Short saver price is £75 (final price £90) with a minimum age of 16 years, and the longer Swim Run saver price is £110 (final price £125) with a minimum age of 17 years. A booking fee of £3.00 per entry is applied at checkout.
Additional logistics
Short-distance participants are transported by ferry to the start at Wray Castle Boathouse for wave starts. The finish area includes food and drink from local vendors for spectators.
