Great Human Race 5K
The Great Human Race is a community event held at the Western YMCA in Newark, Delaware. This annual occurrence is organized in partnership with the West Wilmington Seventh Day Adventist Church and focuses on community unity. The event features a running race followed by an International Food Festival held on the YMCA grounds at 2600 Capitol Trail.

Participants in the 5K receive complimentary entry to the International Food Festival. The festival includes a variety of global foods and family entertainment such as global performances and a moon bounce. Attendees who do not participate in the race may access the festival for a separate fee.
All proceeds from the race are donated to the Annual Campaign for the Western Family YMCA. These funds support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility initiatives.
