NYCRUNS Great Gobble 5K : Prospect Park, Brooklyn
The NYCRUNS Great Gobble 5K is a 3.1 mile race held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The course covers just under one full loop of the park and finishes with a final sprint up Center Drive. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF certified.
The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is the central location for bib pickup, shirt distribution, bag check, restrooms, and general race information. Bike parking in the Festival Area is prohibited. Start corrals are pace based and located on Well House Drive; corral letters are printed on runner bibs according to the pace on each runner’s NYCRUNS profile.
On-course hydration is provided and finish-area fluids include water and Gatorade. Post-race refreshments include a bag of pretzels, an apple, and a bagel with schmear. Race swag consists of an official race shirt and a Finisher Medal; shirts are available on race day and sizes are not guaranteed. MarathonFoto supplies race photography and one photo download is free.
Bib pickup is handled at the Festival Area on race day and requires a unique QR code. NYCRUNS members may receive mailed bibs as a membership benefit; mailed bibs follow specific registration and address rules.
Handcycle and Wheelchair Division athletes are included and should allow extra time at bib pickup and staging. Results are emailed and posted online. Standard race policies apply, including no refunds and no dogs or strollers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
