NYCRUNS Great Gobble 5K
The NYCRUNS Great Gobble 5K is a charity 5K benefiting the YMCA of Greater New York, held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on November 21, 2026. The course is just under one full loop of the park, roughly 3.1 mile, and finishes with a final sprint up Center Drive. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF certified.
The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is accessible from Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive. Bib and shirt distribution take place in the Festival Area on race day. NYCRUNS members can have their bib mailed at no cost when they register at least 20 days before the event and to a U.S. mailing address; non members may add bib mailing for an additional fee. Registration closes the day before the race or earlier if capacity is reached.
Start corrals are pace based and assigned by letter AA through F; corral assignments appear on the bib and the corrals are located on Well House Drive, about a five minute walk from the Festival Area.
On course and festival amenities include bag check with a single clear bag requirement (18 x 24 inches), portable bathrooms, water on course, a participant tech shirt distributed race day only, a finisher medal, and post race refreshments including bottled water, Gatorade, an apple, and a bagel with schmear. Race photos include one free download and optional paid packages. Results are emailed and posted online after the race. Awards are given to the top three male, female and non binary overall and to top three in standard age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
