Event Overview
The Standard Chartered Great City Race is a corporate team challenge held in the heart of London. This annual event serves as a platform for colleagues to connect outside of the traditional work environment by participating in a collective running activity through the city's financial district.
The race features a single distance:
- 5 km
The route is designed to pass several of London's most recognizable architectural landmarks. Participants follow a course that takes them by St Paul’s Cathedral and the Bank of England. The event is structured as a corporate challenge, focusing on team participation within the business community.
Environmental and social impact are integrated into the event's structure. One-third of every entry fee is donated to the Standard Chartered Foundation. Additionally, the event organizers provide resources for participants, including training plans and fundraising support. Photography services are available on the course to capture participants during the race. Road closures are implemented throughout the area to facilitate the safe passage of runners along the city streets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
