Standard Chartered Great City Race
The Standard Chartered Great City Race is a corporate team running event held in central London. The event features a 5K road course that passes notable landmarks including St Paul’s Cathedral and the Bank of England. The start line is at The Honourable Artillery Company Grounds, and the course is described as fast and flat with an elevation gain of 59 feet. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Tuesday 21 July 2026 and is listed as sold out.
The event records timed results and uses gun time to determine finish positions. Prizes are awarded to the top three men and top three women, and there are team awards for accountancy, banking, insurance and legal sectors. Participants have access to event photography, a finisher’s T-shirt and medal as an optional item, and an option to plant a tree with Trees Not Tees. Event facilities include toilets (including accessible toilets) in the start area, course mile and kilometre markers, a festival area with a bar, a Sensory Calm Space, a Multi Faith Prayer Space and bike parking on a first-come, first-served basis. The event lists partners and sponsors such as Standard Chartered and New Balance and donates one third of the entry fee to the Standard Chartered Foundation.
