The Great Bangor Marathon & Half takes place in Bangor, Maine on June 7, 2026. The event is USATF sanctioned and Boston certified (Marathon ME24008BK, Half ME24007BK). Distances offered include:

All Sports Events is the official race timer. The event has no time limit. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at THE MAINE EXPERIENCE on the Bangor Waterfront. Prize money and awards for overall and age categories will be announced in January 2026.
Course, services and logistics
Both races start at the corner of Main St and Dutton St and finish at Bangor Waterfront Park (Dutton St entrance), just south of Geaghan’s restaurant. The full marathon runs through Bangor, out Valley Avenue to Broadway, with a turnaround in Kenduskeag before returning to the waterfront finish. The half marathon follows the same route with a turnaround on outer Broadway shortly after Pushaw Road. The course profile shows a 170-foot elevation difference from start to finish. Race operations will accept bottles at the start operations tent for placement on a special table at each water station. A vendor area will be located at the finish line.
