Greasy-Gooney 10K
The Greasy-Gooney 10K is scheduled for October 24, 2026 in Browntown, Warren County, Virginia. The event is the 28th running of the race and is hosted by the Shenandoah Valley Runners. The course is a 10 km (6.2 mile) road loop through the foothills of the Blue Ridge that takes place during peak fall foliage season and passes through mountain and countryside scenery.
Awards will be given to the top three overall finishers and to the top three finishers in mostly five-year age groups. Entry fees vary by option: $30 early or $40 race day with the race premium, or $24 early and $34 race day without the premium; members of the Shenandoah Valley Runners receive a $2 discount. All proceeds from the race will be donated to the Browntown Community Center Association and the Humane Society of Warren County.
Registration opens September 18, 2026 and closes October 21, 2026. The event accepts participants of all abilities and is located in Browntown, about eight miles south of Front Royal in the Shenandoah Valley area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
