NVRC Gray's Woods Labor Day Mile
The NVRC Gray's Woods Labor Day Mile is the third annual set of road mile races held along Gray's Woods Boulevard in Port Matilda, PA on September 7, 2026. The event groups several one-mile races for different participants and interests.
Races include youth, masters, heroes, a dog mile, and an open NVRC mile, each covering 1 mile. The Fastest Kid race is for athletes 12 and under. The Masters mile is for athletes 40 and older. The Heroes mile honors first responders, military personnel, and healthcare workers. The Fastest Dog division permits one dog per athlete and requires a leash no longer than six feet.
Proceeds and support benefit local programs and teams, including the cross country and track and field teams of State College Area High School, Centre County Paws, the Krush Program, and local youth running programs.
Registration details: registration opens June 9, 2026. Fees shown for individual races range from $15 to $20. Most registrations close on August 21, 2026; the Heroes registration remains open through September 7, 2026. Event T-shirts are guaranteed only to participants who register by August 21, 2026.
