NVRC Gray's Woods Labor Day Mile
The NVRC Gray's Woods Labor Day Mile is a road racing event held on Labor Day morning in Port Matilda, Pennsylvania. This second annual event takes place on a course alongside Gray's Woods Boulevard. The program features several specialized categories, all covering a distance of 1 mile. Participants who register by August 15, 2025, are guaranteed an event T-shirt.
Available race categories include:
- 1 mile open run
- 1 mile Fastest Kid race for athletes ages 12 and under
- 1 mile Masters race for athletes ages 40 and over
- 1 mile Heroes' Mile for first responders, military, and healthcare workers
- 1 mile Fastest Dog race for athletes running with one leashed dog
The event serves as a fundraiser for several community organizations and athletic teams. Proceeds support the State College Area HS cross country and track and field teams, Centre County Paws, the Krush Program, and various local youth running initiatives.
