Gravel Worlds Triathlon & Duathlon
Gravel Worlds Triathlon & Duathlon is a gravel multisport event centered at Branched Oak State Recreation Area near Lincoln, Nebraska. The event offers both swim/bike/run triathlons and run/bike/run duathlons with sprint and intermediate distance options. Races use gravel roads and trails and feature draft-legal bike courses on gravel.
The event is USA Triathlon sanctioned and serves as the USA Triathlon Gravel National Championships. Chip timing is used. Eligible age-group and category podium finishers receive USA Triathlon medals and category winners earn national champion titles. The top 18 athletes in each age group qualify for the Cross World Championships in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; qualified athletes receive instructions from USA Triathlon and Team USA fees apply. Participants must provide a current USA Triathlon membership number or purchase a one-day license during registration.
Distances (approximate; subject to final course conditions and permitting):
- Sprint Triathlon: 750 m swim, ~13 miles bike, 5K run
- Intermediate Triathlon: 1,500 m swim, ~28 miles bike, 10K run
- Sprint Duathlon: 1 mile run, ~13 miles bike, 5K run
- Intermediate Duathlon: 2 miles run, ~28 miles bike, 10K run
- Full Triple: 3 km swim, 150 miles bike, 50K run
- Half Triple: 1.5 km swim, 75 miles bike, 25K run
The event includes a Nebraska day-use pass, post-race food and beverage, a Gravel Worlds finisher medal, and age-group awards. Final routes will be posted prior to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
