The event is an out-and-back 5K that uses the Wild Mile Nature Trail / Bigfork Nature Trail. The start and finish are located at Competitive Timing’s arch in front of Lake Baked bakery. Competitive timing is provided at the start and finish. A water station is placed at the halfway/turnaround point on the trail. Finish-line items include cookies and medals. Race-day check in is held at Lake Baked. Registrants who register before June 1 are listed as guaranteed a shirt and shirt size.
Beneficiary and proceeds
Proceeds from registration and donations support Grateful Nation Montana (GNM), a 501(c)(3) children’s scholarship fund for children of Montana service members killed in action in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. GNM partners with Folded Flag Foundation and Children of Fallen Patriots. Additional race proceeds are designated to support Bigfork High School unfunded or partially funded sports teams.
