Grandmaster Ultras 2027 : Mesquite / Arizona Strip area
Grandmaster Ultras is a multi-distance ultrarunning event held near Mesquite, NV, in the Arizona Strip region. It offers loop-based distances that reuse a core 50K clockwise Thelma and Louise Loop plus a 6.2-mile out-and-back section. The 50K loop has approximately 1,580 ft elevation gain/loss; course elevations range roughly from 1,722 ft to 2,605 ft. Runners encounter rocky ATV trails, steep climbs, a tunnel near mile 0.6, and an overlook near mile 19.
Distances:
- 100 Miles - fee $235.00; 48-hour cutoff
- 100K - fee $205.00; 48-hour cutoff
- 50 Miles - fee $160.00; 24-hour cutoff
- 50K - fee $140.00; 24-hour cutoff
Course formats:
- 50K is one loop plus the out-and-back.
- 50M is two 50K-style loops.
- 100K is two 50K loops.
- 100M is two 50M loops.
Aid stations are placed at Oasis, Cross Roads (water), Junction, Cattle Gate, Overlook, and additional locations, and volunteers staff these stations. Pacers are permitted with specific rules; runners aged 70 and over may have pacers from the start in all distances. The event uses a start/finish site just off Hwy 91 (approximate coordinates 36.8272085438359, -113.997853251625). Registration opens May 4, 2026 and closes July 1, 2026 for the listed events.
