Event Overview

The Grandmaster Ultras is a multi-day ultrarunning event held in Mesquite, Nevada. The event offers four distances: a 100 Miler, a 100 KM, a 50 Miler, and a 50 KM.

Course Details

The courses utilize miles of ATV trails in the desert landscape of the Arizona strip. The 50 KM course serves as the main route. It includes a clockwise "Thelma Louise loop" and a 6.2-mile out-and-back section. The course has an elevation gain and loss of 1,580 feet, with a minimum elevation of 1,722 feet and a maximum of 2,605 feet. Runners pass the Thelma and Louise site around mile 19.

The 50 Miler course runs the Thelma Louise loop twice, with a total elevation gain and loss of 2,450 feet. The 100 Miler consists of running the 50-mile course twice, and the 100 KM consists of running the 50 KM course twice.

Schedule & Cutoffs

The event runs from Friday, February 27 to Sunday, March 1, 2026. The 100 Miler and 100 KM races start on Friday and have a 48-hour cutoff. The 50 Miler and 50 KM races start on Saturday and have a 24-hour cutoff.

Participant Information

The event is open to participants aged 50 to 99. Pacers are allowed under specific conditions: for the 100 Miler and 100 KM, pacers are permitted after the first lap or when it gets dark; for the 50 KM and 50 Miler, pacers are allowed if the runner finishes in the dark. Pacers can start from any crew-accessible aid station. Runners over 70 years old are allowed a pacer from the start for all distances.
