Overview

Grandmaster Ultras 2026 is a multi-distance ultrarunning event held February 27 to March 1, 2026 in Mesquite, NV (501 Hillside Dr). The event is open only to runners aged 50 and older. Registration opens May 4, 2025 and closes December 31, 2025. The start/finish area is at approximately lat 36.8272085, long -113.9978533. The course runs on ATV trails in the Arizona strip and includes rocky sections and at least one tunnel.

Course and aid stations

The main course is a 50K out-and-back with the clockwise Thelma Louise loop and a 6.2 mile out-and-back section. The 50K course has about 1,580 ft total elevation gain and loss, with minimum elevation 1,722 ft and maximum 2,605 ft; Thelma Louise site is at mile 19. The 50 miler repeats the Thelma Louise loop twice for about 2,450 ft total elevation gain and loss. The 100K is two laps of the 50K, and the 100 miler is two laps of the 50M course. Aid stations are placed roughly every 4 to 7 miles; named stations on the 50K/50M include Oasis, Cross Roads, Junction, Cattle Gate, and Overlook.

Cutoffs and pacers

100 mile and 100 km events have a 48-hour cutoff. 50 km and 50 mile events have a 24-hour cutoff. Pacers are allowed for 100M and 100K after the first lap or once it gets dark, and pacers may start from crew-accessible aid stations.
