Grand Blue Mile
The Grand Blue Mile is scheduled for April 21, 2026, in Western Gateway Park in Downtown Des Moines, Iowa. The event is presented by Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield and is held as part of the Drake Relays.
The race day program includes multiple events: the Grand Blue Mile for adults, Grand Blue Mile Youth for ages 13 to 17, Grand Blue Mile Youth for ages 12 and under, a Virtual Grand Blue Mile, and Spike's Sprint for young children.
