Grahamtastic Connection 5K Run & Walk
The Grahamtastic Connection 5K Run & Walk takes place on October 18, 2026 at the Nasson Community Center (Nasson Gym) in Springvale, Maine. The event marks the 28th year of the organization’s work to connect children facing cancer and other serious illnesses with technology that supports education and social connection, including iPads, laptops, robots and internet access.
The main event is a 5K out-and-back course that begins near Bradeen Street and finishes at the Nasson Community Center. The route is partially on road and mostly on the well groomed Mousam Way rail trail with a turnaround at Deering Pond, offering fall foliage views. The day also features a kids fun run, a robot race with a virtual option for children who cannot attend in person, and awards and prizes.
Registration fees vary by age category: adults $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event, teens $15, children 6 to 12 $10, and children under 5 free when accompanying a paying adult. Free t-shirts are provided to donors who give $250 or more; remaining shirts will be sold on the day of the event. Leashed dogs are welcome if non aggressive; a special prize is presented for the fastest dog. Medals are awarded to top finishers in the male and female age categories, and a team fundraising prize is offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
