Grahamtastic Connection 5K Run & Walk
The Grahamtastic Connection 5K Run & Walk is an out and back event held in Springvale, Maine. This event celebrates 28 years of supporting a non-profit mission to provide technology, such as iPads, laptops, and robots, to children with serious illnesses. These tools help children maintain their education and stay connected with family and medical providers during treatment.
The event features several specific categories and distances:
- 5 km (Run and walk)
- Kids Fun Run
- Robot Race (Virtual participation via robot)
The 5 km course begins at Bradeen Street and concludes at the Nasson Community Center. While a portion of the route is on the road, the majority of the course follows the well-groomed Rail Trail section of the Mousam Way. Participants travel to a turnaround point at Deering Pond, surrounded by fall foliage.
Registration options are available for adults, teens, and children, with free entry for children under five when accompanied by a paying adult. Leashed dogs are permitted at the event. Recognition includes medals for first and second-place male and female finishers in all age categories. Specialized prizes are also awarded to the fastest overall male, female, and dog.
