Grace Race - Alexandria
Grace Race at 4900 Jackson Street, Alexandria, LA is a community school running event offering three distances. Proceeds benefit Grace Christian School and support the school community.
Participants can choose from these distances:
- 6.214 Miles (10K)
- 3.107 Miles (5K)
- 1 Mile (1 Mile Fun Run)
Packet pick-up is the day before the race in the school gym, which also serves as the staging area. The gym is located off Calais Circle and Versailles Boulevard, one block past the school.
The course runs through Charles Park and along Versailles and is described as flat; the 1 Mile route follows a shorter portion of the same course. The organizer reserves the right to change the route. Official race timing with a chip system will be used and results will be posted on race day after the event. Awards are planned for the top three finishers in each age group, male and female.
On race morning the gym hosts a children’s carnival with games and activities and concessions offering jambalaya. The event combines running, community activities, and fundraising for the school. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
