Event Overview
The Goulburn Race Series 2026 - Race 1 is held on Sunday 17 May 2026 at Riverside Park, Inclusive Playground, Quiberon Way, Goulburn, NSW, Australia. It is part of a two-race series, with events at Riverside Park on two separate dates in 2026.
The event uses the riverside paths along the Wollondilly River and offers an undulating, fully pathed course. There is no public transport to the event village on Sunday morning; it can be reached by walking, cycling, or car. Riverside Park has a small car park, with more parking in nearby residential streets.
Sponsors include Goulburn Mulwaree Council, John Connell Real Estate, Tailwind Nutrition, and Athelite.
Distances and Course
Race 1 offers four distances:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km Family Dash
All distances are professionally chip timed. The 2 km Family Dash is aimed at children; an accompanying adult can run for an extra fee, but will not be timed and will not receive a finisher medal. There is a 4-hour cut-off for the Half Marathon, and no cut-off times for the 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km events.
Water stations with water and Tailwind Nutrition are placed along the courses. Pedestrians and cyclists may also be on the shared paths, so participants need to be attentive.
Registration, Pricing, and Inclusions
Entry fees vary by distance and change from Early Bird to Standard and Late periods. For Race 1, Early Bird prices are:
- Half Marathon: $80
- 10 km: $50
- 5 km: $37
- 2 km: $25
Standard and Late prices are higher up to race day. Participants can also register for both the 17 May and 18 October events in the series and receive a 10% discount and an event t-shirt.
All finishers receive a 2026 Goulburn Half Marathon themed medal (except accompanying adults in the Family Dash), post-race snacks, sponsor giveaways, and an online finisher certificate. Race bibs are printed three weeks before race day and can be mailed out two weeks before the event. A course photographer will take photos that are shared afterwards.
