Gorseinon 10K
The BRISCO Gorseinon 10K is a community running event organised by Morgan's Army Charitable Foundation, held on Sunday 4 April 2027 at Penyrheol Leisure Centre in Gorseinon, Swansea. The weekend programme includes two races: a 10K and a 2K Family Fun Run.
The 10K is a fully closed road course that passes through Gorseinon, Pontarddulais and Grovesend. The course is marshalled, supported by experienced pacers, and provides water at approximately 5 km. All 10K finishers receive a medal. Roads remain closed until the final runner has finished and the event timing is recorded.
The 2K Family Fun Run is a timed and officially measured short race intended for participants of all ages. The town council and the leisure centre host a community fun day alongside the races, with live music, food stalls and rides creating a wider event atmosphere.
The race operates on a not for profit basis. Entry fees and funds raised are shared equally between Morgan's Army Charitable Foundation and a local charity partner chosen by the community. The chosen partner for 2027 is Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity, with fundraising directed to play therapy, hospital equipment and emotional support for children at the Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales.
