Gopher to Badger Half Marathon
The Gopher to Badger Race takes place on August 8, 2026. The event offers three distances: Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. All races start at 7:00 a.m. The half marathon course starts in the Stillwater, Minnesota area and finishes in Hudson, Wisconsin, crossing the I-94 bridge over the St. Croix River. The courses are USATF certified and sanctioned.
Packet pickup and in-person registration are available on Friday, August 8 at a store in Woodbury, MN, and on race morning in Hudson, WI. Race day shuttles transport runners from Grandview Park in Hudson to the respective start lines. After the race, shuttles return runners from the finish area in Lakefront Park back to Grandview Park.
Participants receive a gender-specific cotton blend shirt, a collectible finisher's medal, and a personalized race bib. The event is timed, and results are available online. On-course support includes staffed water stations, restroom facilities, and bag drop. A Kids Fun Run of approximately 0.3 miles is also held within Lakefront Park.
