Gopher to Badger Race - August 8 2026
The Gopher to Badger event on August 8 2026 offers three loop distances based at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Due to construction on the I‑94 bridge, the 2026 routes remain entirely in Minnesota and do not cross into Wisconsin. All distances are sanctioned and certified by U.S.A. Track & Field.

All distances will start and finish at the fairgrounds and share a common finish line. Course certification numbers are provided for each distance: Half MN-14035RR, 10K MN-19046RR, 5K MN-19045RR. Timing for the Half, 10K, and 5K is provided by Mtec Results, and participant tracking is available through the Run Stillwater app.
Participant services listed for the event include race shirts, collectible finisher medals, personalized bibs, bag drop at each start, pacers for the half marathon, staffed water stations, restroom facilities at roughly two-mile intervals, finish line recovery food and beverages, video finish and free post-race photos. Shower facilities are available at River Valley Athletic Club for registered participants. Keepsake age group awards are mailed to top three finishers in each age group.
