The Goodyear Education 5K celebrates its 19th year from a new venue, the Danville Regional Airport. Runners and walkers will start on the terminal ramp, pass displayed aircraft, and finish back at the airport. Prizes include sets of Goodyear tires for top finishers and a random participant.

Goodyear Education 5K

The Goodyear Education 5K marks its 19th edition in 2026. This year's event will be held at a new location, the Danville Regional Airport.

The event consists of two main activities:

Goodyear Education 5K Run
Goodyear Education 5K Walk

Both activities start at the airport terminal ramp next to the airplane hangars. The course proceeds to Stinson Drive before returning to the airport for the finish. Participants can view Averett University aircraft on display during the event.

After finishing, awards will be presented. There will be opportunities for photos with planes, and refreshments will be available. The race parking is located at 423 Airport Drive, beside Danville Fire Station 7.

As prizes, three sets of Goodyear tires will be awarded. These go to the top overall male finisher, the top overall female finisher, and one participant selected via a random drawing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
