Gomez Grind

The Gomez Grind offers two long-distance running formats on a 5 km looped trail course, starting and finishing at the Gomez Peak Pavilion in Silver City, New Mexico. The course follows a lollipop-style loop, which is described as the most popular trail in the local system. It is noted as a rugged trail with climbing and rocks.

The two event formats are Last Runner Standing and the Gomez Grind 24-hour run. In the Last Runner Standing format, runners complete one loop per hour, starting at the top of each hour. Prize money is available for this competitive event. The 24-hour run allows participants to complete as many loops as they can within the time limit, at their own pace. Runners can start and stop as they wish, and even completing a single loop earns a finisher award. There is one aid station located at the start and finish line.

The event is hosted by Gila Endurance Runs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
