Gods Country 5K run
Gods Country 5K run is a community running and walking event held on July 4, 2026 at Alpha Fitness Den, 25284 E 825 North Rd, Forrest, IL 61741, United States. The event includes two distance options:
- 5K run
- 2 mile walk
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the local Hooah organization. Hooah is a grassroots outreach program for wounded veterans from all branches. The organization describes its principles as compassionate, educational, charitable, and patriotic, and it is funded entirely by private donations and fundraising. Its stated goal is to provide no cost outdoor activities and a network to support veterans in healing both mentally and physically outdoors.
This edition of the event aims to support Hooah's Veterans Resource Center Campaign. The campaign intends to establish a center that will provide year round support, connection, and purpose for veterans. Registration is open from April 3, 2026 through June 18, 2026, with a registration fee of $35.00.
