Godfather Reverse Triangle
Scheduled for 18 July 2026 at Saasveld in the Western Cape, the Godfather Reverse Triangle is a single-day mountain hike organised by Venture Butik and based at the Tolbos Building on the Saasveld campus in George.
The route is a triangular loop of approximately 23 km with about 1100 m of elevation gain and includes summiting two peaks in one day. The hike is estimated to take around seven to seven and a half hours. Difficulty is rated 8 out of 10 and the terrain is uneven, so participants should be reasonably fit and able to cover the distance and elevation.
Compulsory items listed for participants include a suitable lightweight hydration pack or hip pouch, hydration or bottled water, sunscreen, a hat or head covering, suitable non-slip off road shoes (normal road running shoes are not suitable), snacks, a lightweight windproof jacket, a fleece or midlayer as needed, and basic emergency items such as bandages and blister plasters. Optional items noted include fingerless gloves, hiking poles, buffs, sunglasses and wet wipes.
Team entries are supported for certain classes with team sizes ranging from two to eight participants. The stated entry fee for the event is R200 per person.
