Gobbler Hobbler 10K & Mashed Potato Mile
The Gobbler Hobbler events take place in Oswego, Illinois on November 8, 2026, with Fox Chase Elementary School serving as the event hub. The chip timed 10K course follows the Fox River and passes through downtown Oswego; the course starts and finishes at Fox Chase Elementary. Volunteers staff three water stations on the 10K course. After the run, athletes are offered complimentary walking pancakes.

- 10K chip timed 10 kilometer road course
- Mashed Potato Mile one mile fun run
Awards are presented by gender and age group. The Mashed Potato Mile recognizes the top three males and top three females in two divisions: 11 and under, and 12 and over (gun time). The 10K presents awards for overall top finishers and age group top three placements from youth through 70 plus (gun time). Award ceremonies are held in the Fox Chase gym.
Registration is tiered by date with increased fees closer to race day; hooded sweatshirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by October 29 and are available afterward while supplies last. Packet pick-up is scheduled on dates before and on race weekend at local locations including the Civic Center concession stand and Fox Chase Elementary. The event is organized by the Oswegoland Park District with timing and scoring by ShaZam Racing. There are no refunds for athletic events.
