Gobbler Hobbler 10K & Mashed Potato Mile
Gobbler Hobbler is an annual fall running event held since 1985 in Oswego, Illinois. The event offers a scenic 10 km course along the Fox River that passes through downtown Oswego and a separate Mashed Potato Mile. The 10 km is chip timed and the course begins and ends at Fox Chase Elementary School. Volunteers provide three water stations on the 10 km course.

- Mashed Potato Mile one mile
Packet pick-up is offered at multiple locations, including the Civic Center Concession Stand and Fox Chase Elementary School, plus availability on race morning. Participants may pick up packets for friends if they present a photo of the friend’s driver’s license. Race day registration is listed with fees of 10K $55 and 1 Mile $40. Runners who register by 10/29 are guaranteed a hooded sweatshirt. There are no refunds for athletic events.
Participants with strollers are welcome and are asked to start toward the back of the field for safety. Awards are presented in the Fox Chase gym for both distances. 10K awards include first male and female overall, first masters (40+) male and female, and the top three male and female finishers in specified age groups. Mashed Potato Mile awards go to the top three male and female finishers in 11 & Under and 12 & Over divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
