Gobbler Hobbler 10K & Mashed Potato Mile, Oswego IL
This community event on November 8, 2026 takes place at Fox Chase Elementary in Oswego and is organized by the Oswegoland Park District with timing and scoring by ShaZam Racing. The program includes a chip timed 10 km course that runs down the Fox River and through downtown Oswego, and a separate Mashed Potato one mile event.
Race services include three water stations staffed by volunteers along the 10 km course. Registered participants by October 29 are guaranteed a hooded sweatshirt; after that date sweatshirts are available while supplies last. There are no refunds for athletic events. Participants are invited to enjoy complimentary walking pancakes after the run.
Packet pick up is offered on November 5 at the Civic Center Concession Stand in Montgomery and on November 7 at Fox Chase Elementary, with additional pick up available at Fox Chase on race day. Awards are given by gender and age group: the Mashed Potato Mile recognizes the top three male and female finishers in 11 and under and 12 and over, and the 10K presents awards for overall winners, masters 40 plus, and top three finishers across standard age divisions.
