Gobbler Hobbler 10K and Mashed Potato Mile
The Gobbler Hobbler is a community road race held in Oswego, Illinois, centered at Fox Chase Elementary School. The event has been held since 1985 and features a scenic chip timed 10K that runs down the Fox River and through downtown Oswego. Volunteers provide three water stations along the 10K course. The chip timed course begins and ends at Fox Chase Elementary School.

Registration follows tiered pricing with higher fees closer to race day and on race day. Runners who register by October 29 are guaranteed a hooded sweatshirt; after that sweatshirts are available while supplies last. There are no refunds for athletic events. Packet pick up is available on November 5 at the Civic Center Concession Stand and on November 7 and November 8 at Fox Chase Elementary School. Timing and scoring are provided by ShaZam Racing and the event is organized by the Oswegoland Park District.
Awards are given for both events. The Mashed Potato Mile recognizes the top three male and top three female finishers in two age divisions 11 and under and 12 and over. The 10K awards top overall male and female, top masters 40 plus runners, and top three male and female in multiple age groups. Award ceremonies take place in the Fox Chase gym.
