Goat Rattler 100
The Goat Rattler 100 is a long-distance trail event held in Ogden, Utah, scheduled for September 18, 2026. Registration for the event opened on December 1, 2025.
The primary course is reported at approximately 101.5 miles and is composed of about 96% singletrack. Elevation gain is substantial, cited in the materials at roughly 22,200 to 22,500 feet. A short vehicle shuttle is required at the Pineview dam crossing near mile 48.8; the shuttle covers about 1.5 miles to windsurfer beach and organizers slow traffic before runners exit.
Organizers will issue a Garmin In Reach device to each runner and post live GPS tracking on the event website. The live tracking is intended to help crew monitor progress and reduce crowding at aid stations. The route also includes many spectator spots along the first 17 miles.
There are no prerequisite qualification requirements listed for this year. Refund and withdrawal terms are stated: a full refund is available for withdrawals submitted by May 31, 2025; a partial refund of $150 is available for withdrawals between June 1 and July 11, 2025. Rollovers are not offered and bib transfers are not permitted. Finishers receive a traditional belt buckle and additional swag from local brands.
