Goat Rattler 100 : Ogden, Utah
The Goat Rattler 100 is a long trail running event held in Ogden, Utah, scheduled for 9/18/26. The course is roughly 100 miles and is predominantly singletrack, with the organizer citing about 96 percent singletrack. Elevation gain is significant, with an organizer estimate of approximately 22,200 feet of vertical climbing.
Every runner carries a Garmin In-Reach device and live GPS tracking is posted in real time on the event website so crews can monitor progress. The route requires a short car shuttle at the Pineview dam crossing near mile 48.8; the shuttle covers about 1.5 miles and includes a reduced-speed roadside segment before drop-off. There are numerous spectator spots along the route, especially within the first 17 miles.
Entry requirements for this edition list no formal prerequisites, but the organizer notes that attempting a first 100-mile race on this course is a serious undertaking. Refund and withdrawal policies: full refunds are available for requests received by 5/31/25; a partial refund of $150 is available for withdrawals between 6/1 and 7/11.
