2026 Go Girls Go Fall 5k
This is a community 5 km run and walk in Chambersburg that benefits the Healthy Communities Partnership and supports the Go Girls Go afterschool girls empowerment and running program. The event uses a 5 kilometer figure eight road course at Southgate on Washington Street and the Rail Trail.
Go Girls Go is an afterschool program that meets twice per week. Sessions combine running with lessons on topics such as self esteem, peer relationships, decision making, nutrition, diversity, and emotions. The program emphasizes improving physical fitness and encouraging ongoing participation in physical activity.
The event is open to all genders and ages. Entries are chip timed and timing will be provided by Timber Hill Timing. Finish times are taken from timing chips and awards are determined by gun time. Categories include overall and masters awards, with prizes for the first three overall men and women and for first masters men and women.
Registration details and fees: online registration closes October 30, shirts are guaranteed only for registrations completed by October 11, and fees vary by registration date with an additional fee on the day of the event. Race day registration and bib pickup are available at the Southgate location. Participants are required to wear the timing chip on their shoe and the bib on their chest to receive a time and to be eligible for awards.
