Gnosall 10K and Family Fun Run : Gnosall Family Sports Club

The Gnosall Globetrotters organise a chip-timed, England Athletics licensed multi-terrain race that starts and finishes at the Gnosall Family Sports Club. The main course is an undulating 11.2 km route that uses canal towpaths, farmland, Broadhill woodland, a disused railway line and a boardwalk through The Acres.

• Distances:
  • 11.2 km multi-terrain race (listed as 10K-ish)
  • Family Fun Run: 1 km (two laps) or 0.5 km (one lap)
• The main race is limited to 400 runners and is fully marshalled with 32 marshal points.
• Two water stations are located on the course at mile 2 and mile 4; biodegradable cups are used and recycling bins are provided at the finish.
• All finishers of the main race receive a technical t-shirt and goodies; trophies are awarded to the first three men and women. The Sam Myatt Trophy is awarded to the fastest youngster aged 20 or younger. Spot prizes are also distributed.
• The Fun Run is chip-timed; all Fun Run finishers receive a medal and goodies.
• Practical notes: there is no parking at the Sports Club; nearby parking is available at the Health Centre, Memorial Hall and Grosvenor Centre with an approximate 10 minute walk. The course is not accessible to pushchairs due to steps and a kissing gate. Bone conduction headphones are the only headphones permitted and running with dogs is not allowed. First aid is provided in line with UKA requirements.
