Global Running Day 5K
This event is a community 5K organized by the Toledo Roadrunners Club in partnership with Metroparks Toledo at Swan Creek Preserve Metropark in Toledo, OH (4659 Airport Highway). Registration is online only. Online registration opens January 12, 2026 and remains available until the start of the event. Entry fee is $5.00 for Toledo Roadrunners Club members and $10.00 for non-members. All children 12 and under enter for free and should remain with a guardian during the 5K. A unisex cotton blend shirt is available as an add on for $13.00; the shirt guarantee ends on May 25, 2026.
The course uses an all purpose paved trail. It includes an upper loop of approximately 1.7 miles with the remainder laid out as an out and back. Participants who do not wish to cover the full 5K may complete the upper loop only (about 1.7 miles). Check in takes place at the Mary Jane Gill shelter, located south of the playground, with parking available from the lot off Airport Highway. A clock will be set up at the course. There are no awards. Water and snacks are provided at the conclusion of the event and there will be some giveaways. Race insurance is not offered. Mercy Health – Toledo will provide onsite medical support. A related Kids Kilometers event is scheduled for June 6. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
