Global Running Day 5K
The Toledo Roadrunners Club, in partnership with Metroparks Toledo, presents a community 5K at Swan Creek Preserve Metropark in Toledo, OH. The event takes place at 4659 Airport Highway, Toledo, OH 43615.
Event categories include:
- 5K - Adults, Over 12
- 5K - Kids, 12 & Under (children 12 and under are free and should stay with guardians during the 5K)
The course uses an all-purpose paved trail. It includes an upper loop of approximately 1.7 miles with the remainder run as an out-and-back. Participants who prefer a shorter distance may complete the 1.7 mile loop instead of the full 5K.
Registration is online only. Fees are $5.00 for Toledo Roadrunners Club members and $10.00 for non-members. A unisex cotton blend shirt is available as a $13.00 add-on; the shirt guarantee ends on May 24. Check-in is at the Mary Jane Gill shelter, located south of the playground; use the parking lot off Airport Highway.
A clock will be available and no awards will be presented. Water and snacks are provided at the conclusion of the event, and some giveaways will be offered. Race insurance is not provided for this low cost event. Onsite medical support is supplied by Mercy Health - Toledo. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
