Global Running Day 5K
The Global Running Day 5K takes place at Swan Creek Preserve Metropark in Toledo. This event is organized by the Toledo Roadrunners Club in partnership with Metroparks Toledo. Participants follow an all-purpose paved trail that is suitable for different ages and abilities. The course design includes an upper loop of approximately 1.7 miles, while the remaining distance follows an out and back path.
Registration is open for two specific categories:
- 5K (Adults, Over 12)
- 5K (Kids, 12 and Under)
Check-in takes place at the Mary Jane Gill shelter, located south of the playground. Participants can use the parking lot accessible from Airport Highway. While a clock is set up at the event, there are no formal awards. Participants have the option to complete the full 5K distance or a shorter 1.7-mile loop.
Water and snacks are available for participants after they finish. The event includes giveaways and onsite medical support provided by Mercy Health - Toledo. Participants may choose to purchase a unisex cotton blend shirt during the online registration process. Registration remains open online until the event begins.
