Global Kids 5K Run/Walk
Global Kids 5K Run/Walk takes place on October 17, 2026, at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. The course is centered near the Unisphere and the Queens Theatre / Queens Museum area at Meridian Road and Avenue of the Americas.
The event raises funds for Global Kids programs that serve youth in New York City and Washington, DC. Proceeds support year round programming focused on academic achievement, college and career readiness, social-emotional learning, and global citizenship. Global Kids serves more than 14,000 students each year.
Registration offers a timed 5K entry that includes a t-shirt and a personalized bib, and an untimed 5K entry that includes a t-shirt only. The listed registration total includes processing fees. Participants who register three weeks in advance may receive a personalized bib; last-minute registrants within 24 hours can receive a bib number by text.
On race day, registered participants receive event t-shirts; timed participants receive race bibs and timing chips. Participation medals and event swag are available. The event includes awards for top male and female finishers overall, age-group awards for several categories, a best team spirit recognition, and a top fundraiser award. The nearest subway access is Mets-Willets Point, with registration located in front of the Queens Museum about a 10-minute walk from that station.
