Glimmerglass Triathlon : Cooperstown, NY
The Glimmerglass Triathlon is a multisport event at Glimmerglass State Park that combines paddling, cycling, and running around Otsego Lake. The event offers solo entries and team relays in which teams of three or four split the segments.
- Paddle: 1.5 miles by kayak or canoe across the protected waters of Glimmerglass Bay.
- Bike: about 16.5 miles on a loop north of the park along quiet secondary roads.
- Run: 5K course that crosses the Hyde Hall footbridge and follows wooded trails and open park areas.
Transitions occur at the beachfront parking area and the lakefront pavilion, where bikes and paddling boats are staged. Participant packets are available Friday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 am. Day of registration is available during packet pickup Friday evening and Saturday morning.
