Glen Rock Tribute Run 5K
The event is a community running program held in Glen Rock on July 4th. It comprises a 5K road race and a 1K Kids Fun Run along town streets near Veterans Park and Doremus Avenue. The main 5K course begins at Veterans Park and finishes across the street at the Glen Rock "Rock" on Doremus Avenue. The Kids Fun Run follows Doremus Avenue, includes a hairpin turn at about 500 m, and returns to the start and finish area.
The route runs through local streets and takes place prior to the town parade, with participants able to remain in town for the parade afterward. Proceeds from the event go to benefit G.R.A.C.E., an organization created after 911 that maintains the town 911 memorial and provides scholarship funds to high school seniors in memory of Glen Rock's eleven victims.
