About the Program
This 5K is the culminating experience for the Girls on the Run program. This is a youth development program for girls in 3rd through 8th grades that uses physical activity and a curriculum to teach social-emotional skills. Participants come from 23 counties in eastern Missouri and western Illinois.
The program aims to be accessible. Scholarships are offered, and in a typical year, more than 90% of participants receive full or partial financial aid.
