Event overview
The Gilles-Sweet Elementary Derby Dash is scheduled for May 9, 2026 in Fairview Park, OH. The event is based at Fairview High School, 4507 W. 213th St, Fairview Park, OH 44126. There are two race distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The 5K will use MyLaps BibTag timing. Post-race food and beverage will be provided. Runners registered by Friday, May 2 are guaranteed a Derby Dash T-shirt.
Registration, packet pickup and awards
Registration opens February 25, 2026. Pre-registration fees are Adult $25 and Kids (13 and under) $15. Race-day fees are Adult $30 and Kids $20. Families of four or more receive a $10 discount.
Early packet pickup is available at Gilles-Sweet (front entrance). Race-day packet pickup and registration will take place inside the football stadium; if weather is inclement, packet pickup will be in the Mayer Middle School gym. 5K awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & Under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over.
