Gilles-Sweet Elementary Derby Dash
The Gilles-Sweet Elementary Derby Dash takes place on April 25, 2026, in Fairview Park, Ohio, at Fairview High School (4507 W. 213th St). The event includes two distances and uses MyLaps BibTag timing for the 5K. Awards for the 5K include the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & Under, 11-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & Over. Participants receive a Derby Dash T-shirt (shirt guaranteed for registrations by April 17 deadline) and post-race food and beverage.

Registration and logistics
Pre-registration is available in-person or virtually. Fees listed are: Adult $25, Kids (13 and under) $15, with a $10 discount for families of four or more. Race-day fees are Adult $30 and Kids $20. Mailed paper entries must be received by Wednesday, April 22, 2026; mailed entries should be sent to Hermes Sports & Events, 2425 West 11th St., Suite #2, Cleveland, OH 44113 (one form per person). Early packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Gilles-Sweet front entrance (4320 W 220th). Race-day packet pickup and registration take place inside the football stadium by the main entrance, with Mayer Middle School gym as an alternate location in inclement weather.
