Gilda's Race for Hope
Gilda's Race for Hope is the 7th Annual color run and fundraiser taking place on October 3, 2026 at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Broward County, Florida. The event brings together participants across multiple age groups and formats to support people affected by cancer.
Distances and formats offered include:
- 1 Mile walk
- 5K run or walk
- Youth 5K for ages 13 to 17
- Kids Fun Dash
Registration opens May 21, 2026. Registration for the 1 Mile and 5K events closes July 5, 2026; youth and kids registration remains open through October 3, 2026. Listed registration fees include $35 for the 1 Mile and 5K, $20 for the youth 5K, and free entry for the Kids Fun Dash.
Proceeds from the event support Gilda's Club South Florida's mission to provide free social and emotional support to anyone affected by cancer. Participant materials and services noted for the event include participation medals, a swag bag, snacks and light refreshments, and a signature event t-shirt available after a registrant raises or donates $25 or more. 5K participants receive a racing bib with chip timing and a finisher medal, and age group winners receive a special medal.
