Giants Head Weekend

Giants Head Weekend is a multi-race event held in Sydling St Nicholas, Dorchester, Dorset (DT2 9NP). The weekend programme includes a marathon and a 10K on Saturday, and a half marathon plus the LittleFeet Bell Race on Sunday. Routes run through the Sydling and Cerne valleys and include steep climbs and sharp descents. The LittleFeet Bell Race asks participants, including children, to reach the top of a hill, complete a short task, then run back down while wearing a bell. All races are marked routes and a GPX file of the route is available for download.

LittleFeet entrants must register via a ticket and pay on the day by cash; LittleFeet entrants do not receive a finishers medal. Camping is available for Friday and Saturday nights: one camping pitch (2 small tents and 1 large tent, or 1 campervan) costs £30; no electric hook up. Toilet facilities are at the camping field and showers at the village hall. Evening meals can be preordered for Friday and Saturday (adult and child prices listed), with vegetarian options. Registration and race bib collection are available from the registration tent on each race day. Runners must carry at least 500 ml of fluid, carry suitable clothing, and are advised to use the GPX file. Cut-off times: marathon 7.5 hours, half marathon 4 hours; 10K and LittleFeet have no cut off. A bag drop tent will be available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
