Gettysburg Festival of Races
The Gettysburg Festival of Races is a multi-day running event held the weekend of April 24-25, 2027 at 2632 Emmitsburg Rd, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The festival combines several races across southern Adams County, with courses that wind through wooded back-country roads, past fields and farms, and cross the historic Mason-Dixon Line into Maryland and back. The event includes a health and fitness expo, packet pickup options across the weekend, and a pasta dinner.
Distances and main events:
- Adams 5K (Saturday) course begins and ends at the Aspire Hotel
- Lincoln 5K (Sunday) course begins and ends at the Aspire Hotel
- Gettysburg North South 10K course crossing the Mason-Dixon Line
- Gettysburg Blue Gray Half Marathon begins and ends at the Eisenhower Conference Center
Race infrastructure and policies are described clearly: chip timing is provided, fluid stations are placed about every 1.5 to 2 miles, and finisher medals and commemorative pint glasses are awarded. Portions of the courses are open to light traffic with traffic control provided by police, park rangers, and certified flaggers. The marathon course is USATF certified and eligible for Boston Marathon qualification. Participant caps apply for several distances. The festival supports charity fundraising with specified minimums for complimentary entries and offers team scoring and team area perks.
