Gettysburg Festival of Races : April 24-25, 2027
The Gettysburg Festival of Races combines four races across a two-day weekend near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The courses run on wooded back-country roads and pass fields and farms; one route crosses the historic Mason-Dixon Line into Maryland and returns. The event no longer travels through the Gettysburg National Military Park due to park policy.
Race options include:
- Abraham 5K (Saturday)
- Lincoln 5K (Sunday)
- Gettysburg North-South 10K (Sunday)
- Gettysburg Blue-Gray Half Marathon (Sunday)
The half marathon begins and ends at the Eisenhower Conference Center; the 5K courses begin and end at the Aspire Hotel. Disposable chip timing is used for official results. The course remains open for four hours; organizers will begin breaking down aid stations after event cutoffs. Spectators are not allowed on the rural course except volunteers at aid stations. Headphones are discouraged but permitted with caution. Baby joggers, strollers, and pets are not permitted.
All finishers receive a finisher shirt, a goodie bag, a commemorative pint glass, a finishers medal for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon, free digital finisher photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Multi-race participants who complete two or more events receive an Abraham Lincoln Gettysburg Address Medal. Packet pick-up is available the day before and at the race expo. Hotel room blocks are reserved at nearby hotels through April 10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
