Gettysburg Festival of Races : April 24-25, 2027
The Gettysburg Festival of Races combines four events across one weekend near 2632 Emmitsburg Rd, Gettysburg, PA. The course runs through wooded back-country roads, past fields and farms, and crosses the Mason-Dixon Line into Maryland and back. The event no longer travels through Gettysburg National Military Park due to park policy.
Events across the weekend:
- Abraham 5K (Saturday)
- Gettysburg North-South 10K (Sunday)
- Gettysburg Blue-Gray Half Marathon (Sunday)
- Lincoln 5K (Sunday)
Multiple race packages are offered. Participants registered in two or more races receive an Abraham Lincoln Gettysburg Address Medal.
Timing and course Chip timing is provided with disposable bib chips by Run Rhino Run. The course is not fully closed to traffic; police, park rangers, and certified flaggers will direct traffic. The course will remain open for four hours; for half marathon runners this equates to about an 18:00 per mile pace.
Entries, caps, and amenities Participant caps are listed for each distance, including 1500 for the half marathon, 1000 for the 10K, and 500 for the Adams 5K. All registrants receive a finisher shirt, goodie bag, chip timing, fluid stations every 1.5–2 miles, a commemorative pint glass, free digital finisher photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Finishers in the 5K, 10K, and half marathon receive medals. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers and to age-group and team winners. Spectators are generally not allowed on the course except volunteers at aid stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
