Gettysburg Festival of Races - April 24-25, 2027
The 16th Annual Gettysburg Festival of Races is a two-day running weekend near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, with multiple race options and a health and fitness expo. The event takes place at the Eisenhower Conference Center complex (Aspire Gettysburg and the Eisenhower Hotel), which hosts the expo, pasta dinner, and the start and finish area. A room block at the official hotels is held through April 10, 2027; booking directly includes complimentary continental breakfast and a late checkout benefit.
Race offerings include:
- Abraham 5K (new for 2027)
- Lincoln 5K
- Gettysburg North-South 10K (new for 2027)
- Gettysburg Blue-Gray Half Marathon
The courses run on wooded back-country roads of southern Adams County, passing fields and farms and crossing the Mason-Dixon Line into Maryland and back. The event no longer routes through Gettysburg National Military Park due to park policy; the current route follows rural roads outside the park.
Event logistics and features listed for participants include packet pick-up at the expo, a pasta dinner, multi-race packages, chip timing provided by Run Rhino Run, fluid stations approximately every 1.5-2 miles, finisher medals for the 5K/10K/half marathon, a finisher shirt, a commemorative pint glass, digital finisher photos, and post-race food and beverage options including a beer garden for participants 21 and over.
Participant limits are listed for each distance; examples include a half marathon cap of 1,500 and a 10K cap of 1,000. Awards are given to overall and age-group finishers and to top teams.
