Get Your Rear in Gear Las Vegas
Get Your Rear in Gear Las Vegas is a colon cancer awareness 5K run and walk held on May 1, 2027 at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, NV 89074. The event raises funds for the Colon Cancer Coalition and supports local grants that fund programs to remove screening barriers, educate about signs and symptoms, reduce patients' financial burden, and support research.
The event format includes a timed 5K run and walk, a Kid's Fun Run for children 10 and under, and a virtual participation option. The Blue Mile offers custom corrugated yard signs placed along the course to celebrate, honor, or remember someone impacted by colon cancer; participants may take their signs home after the event. Registration fee structure:
- Early bird fees through April 1: Adult $35, Youth (18 and under) $20, Kid's Fun Run (10 and under) $15, Virtual $25.
- Regular fees April 2 through event day: Adult $40, Youth $25, Kid's Fun Run $20, Virtual $25.
