Georgia National Fair 5K
The Georgia National Fair 5K is a community running event held in Perry, Georgia, with the course routed through Historic Downtown Perry and a start/finish area at the Perry City Hall Lawn (808 Carroll Street). The race distance is 3.1 Miles (5K) on a paved, stroller-friendly course. Leashed dogs are permitted on the course and the City of Perry provides complimentary waste bags in downtown locations.
Registrations open on December 28, 2025 and close on October 9, 2026. The registration fee is $40.00. To guarantee a short sleeve dri-fit shirt, registrants must register by September 28, 2026; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt. All 5K participants receive a commemorative race bib as part of the participant packet and a voucher for free fair admission. All finishers receive a commemorative finisher's medal, and participating dogs that complete the course receive a finisher bandana.
The 5K will be officially timed by Brett Hardy Timing Services. Men’s and women’s awards are given in age categories ranging from Under 10 up to 80 & Over. Packet pickup is offered on select days at the Perry Welcome Center and at the City Hall Lawn.
A separate Mascot Mini Mile is held immediately before the 5K; the route is very short (under 300 feet), free for mascots, and intended for photo opportunities and community presence rather than competition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
