Genny Tenny
Genny Tenny is a community fundraiser road race held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 that connects Craftsbury and Albany in Vermont. The event is presented by the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and The Genny to raise funds for the Albany Community Trust.
Distances offered:
- 10 mile point to point run on rolling dirt roads.
- 5 km point to point run or walk, with a dedicated walk category.
The 10 mile course begins in Craftsbury village near the Catholic church and finishes on Water Street in Albany. Most of the route is on rolling dirt roads and includes a mile-long section of Class IV road around miles 7 to 8. The 5 km starts near the top of Pitkin Road, enters Class IV road (not suitable for strollers), and has a significant net downhill profile.
Race logistics include parking at the Albany Community School and shuttles to the start locations before the event. Bib pickup is at the Albany Community School on race day. The finish area includes a post-race party and brunch with food from the Albany General Store; food is included with registration. The 10 mile race has two aid stations at approximately miles 3.9 and 7 and uses reusable cups to reduce waste.
All roads remain open during the race. Participants must run on the left side of the road facing traffic, no more than two abreast, and move to single file as cars approach. A reduced entry fee is available for participants younger than 19. Online registration closes the day before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
