Genny Tenny : Albany VT, June 7, 2026
Genny Tenny is a point to point fundraiser run that links Craftsbury and Albany by mostly dirt roads. The event offers two course options:
- 10 mile point to point on rolling dirt roads, including a mile of Class IV road around mile 7 to 8.
- 5 km point to point starting near the top of Pitkin Road and finishing at the Albany General Store; the 5 km route enters Class IV road and is not suitable for strollers.
The event supports the Albany Community Trust and is presented by the Craftsbury Outdoor Center and The Genny. Registration is handled online at RunReg.com. Standard fees are listed for the 10 mile and 5 km events; a reduced registration fee is available for younger participants. Race registration includes post race food from the Albany General Store and use of a shuttle from parking at the Albany Community School to the start areas. Parking is provided at the Albany Community School near the finish.
On the 10 mile course there are two aid stations at approximately miles 3.9 and 7; reusable cups will be used to reduce waste. All roads remain open during the race; participants must run on the left side of the road facing traffic, limit to two abreast, and yield to vehicles. Dogs are discouraged at the event. Bib pickup is at the Albany Community School on race day and a post race party and brunch will follow at the finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
