Marathon München
The Marathon München by Brooks takes place in Munich, featuring an urban course that highlights the city's most prominent landmarks. The event provides a variety of distances and formats to accommodate different types of runners. Participants can experience a route that passes through the Marienplatz, Sendlinger Tor, and the Werksviertel, as well as the Englischer Garten and the Siegestor. The start and finish lines for the main events are located at the Olympiapark.
The event includes several race options:
- Marathon: A single-loop course covering 42.195 km throughout the city.
- Halbmarathon: A half-marathon distance through the urban landscape.
- 10 KM Run: A shorter course starting in the Werksviertel.
- Marathon Staffel: A relay race where four runners share the marathon distance.
- Kids Run: A youth event for children aged 4 to 14 years, held in the Olympiapark.
- Dallmayr Coffee Run: A 4.2 km community shake-out run through the Olympiapark.
- Münchner Schullauf: A dedicated school run offering 1 km and 3 km distances.
All finishers across the various distances receive a commemorative medal with a diameter of 8.5 cm. Additional event features include a Runners Festival with a Pasta Party held the day before the main races. Suunto serves as the timing partner, providing pacemakers for three of the distances.
