Marathon München 2026
The Marathon München by Brooks is a large-scale running event held in the Bavarian capital. The event features an updated course designed to showcase some of Munich's most recognizable landmarks and neighborhoods. Participants run through locations such as the Marienplatz, the Sendlinger Tor, and the Werksviertel, with portions of the route also passing through the Englischer Garten. Both the start and the finish line are situated within the Olympiapark.
The event offers several different distances and categories to accommodate various preferences:
- Marathon: A single-loop course measuring 42.195 km.
- Half Marathon: Known as the Sport Schuster Halbmarathon.
- 10 KM Run: A shorter course with a start in the Werksviertel.
- Marathon Relay: A category for teams to complete the marathon distance together.
- Kids Run: A dedicated race for children and youth aged 4 to 14, held in the Olympiapark.
- Friendship Run: A community-focused run held during the event weekend.
This event also serves as the host for the official Bavarian Marathon Championship, where elite runners compete for the state title.
